ROCA First Hierarch Metropolitan Agafangel’svisit of the United States
Metropolitan Agafangel visited onFebruary 19-28, 2010.
He officiated at the Triumph of Orthodoxy service on the second Sunday of Great Lent.
He participated in the Holy Unction service there on February 23 and the Clergy Lenten Retreat of the diocesan clergy that day and the next. On February 24, he served along with Abp. Andronik and B. Joseph the Liturgy of Pre-sanctified Gifts. A joint meeting of the Eastern America & New York and Syracuse & Nikolskiy dioceses took place after the Liturgy.
Met. Agafangel headed north the next day and visited the Church of St. Nikita the Confessor.
